Medea, the name of a women whose sacrifices does not have any limit. For me these poem is really sad and hurtful because here I could see a women who took all the danger for the only person she loves in her whole life but in the end of the day left her without any valid reason. Well, there might be a reason of her mighty future about seeing the two families binding together and keeping media as his mistress. After killing her own brother in her country Medea pretty much clear her way to go back in her father’s house and actually by doing that she break all the tie with a house. For me with these incident I can say it is really a big steps , usually normal women wont have the courage to do like that. And also can say that for whom she did such sacrifices , it undoubtedly showing in depth love for him. In the end, Medea is the most lost person when her husband after getting rid of all the dilemma leave her fearlessly. It is really laughable when Jason gave the reason of leaving Medea by saying that he does not feel any love for his new wife, he just did it because of thinking about children’s future and also I wonder how could Jason blamed Medea by saying that she is getting overprotective and jealous about their marital relationship. I proud to show my anger for Jason after seeing his reaction toward Medea, at this point I can say that he is the most ungrateful person in the world. I mean the timing and environment of the poem was different than present but give any reasonable theory to leave Medea and please do not blame her covering your own fault. After reading the whole story, I realized Medea have nothing to lose when she decide to make her own children as a troop for killing Jason and the daughter of king. But I do not really agree with the plan when she decided to kill her own children. I mean it is quite reasonable for being crazy for what she get from her husband but those innocent children does not have anything to do with that. But still when we see recent stories about mom killing her own children because of they think their children will not be taken care in proper way, a a phycological problems named as filicides( mom killing her 3 children) . Through the Medea I can relate when she said “My purpose is not to leave them in a hostile land and surrounded by insulting enemies.” So she was planning to save her children by killing and also making them troops for killing the princess which really indicate that she does not have any mercy left after she was betrayed from her beloved husband. At very last, even though this poem does not have a happy ending and really sad love story, it is a great works for me for expression of love, jealousy and betrayal. For another most important reason to think it is a great work is that it leaves great messages as people should not sacrifice all to get someone’s love, the fruit of betray is never sweet which is people ended up getting nothing by betraying people and lastly its never end of the world there is always hope so we do not need to kill anybody or trooping my own children to get the revenge. For me, this is a great work as it helps me to learn a lot of things which are really reasonable for life and also I think even though it is really old and famous poems it has the ability to read in the classroom because of similarity with many present scenario.
