Hello All,
My name is Omar Gonzalez and I have developed an interest in the restaurant industry. According to the National Restaurant Association, 30% of new restaurants fail in the first year, and of those that survive, another 30% close in the next 2 years. The restaurant business has long been a difficult one to navigate through with a high degree for failure.
I will be creating a blog that summarizes best and worst practices. Some of the most common reasons restaurants fail. There will be resources (links, videos, books) posted that may help small business owners with ideas for funding and overall development. In addition, the importance of location and leasing will be discussed.
There will be information comparing the pros and cons of franchising instead of opening a store from scratch.
