Technology in Russia

In Russia technology is well developed, yet, it is not easily accessible in every household. Internet is the worst concern of mine. WiFi is not a common thing like here. Cabled internet is also not available freely. You should have a phone cable leading to the house, in order to have internet. Besides, unlimited internet is a luxury. I cannot imagine staying a day without it now.

What is going to happen to Google if they are found guilty of violating anti-trust laws?

Should Google be found guilty of violating anti-trust laws, in my believe, they will have to pay a fine, and stop their unlawful actions. There is no way a giant like Google will be eliminated, taken out of the market. It is a profitable business, that pays taxes, develops something new and worthy, employs great minds, and treats them fairly. Closing Google will not create and Internet success. If there were worthy competitors to Google, they would not be petrified by Google “monopoly.”

How is Google using its monopoly of the Internet to further its own interests?

By obtaining more information on any subject, Google became the number one search engine. That led to the argument that Google is a monopoly. By the video,  any search you do on Google is a review from Google. This is profitable, and definitely competition resistant. It may be good for business, and for customers as long as the information provided is fair and true. If Google could manage to provide the consumer with certain information by going out in the field and doing a personal research, and then sharing the experience, that is not that bad. Extra work is rewarding. And the reward in this case is the first place as a search engine.

Access

I have no real need to use Access at all. I used to though. I used to create different worksheets and templates. Now Access is different. And I know that people use it not only for templates, but also keep track of different activities, projects, create interesting presentations. It is convenient for people who have to do a lot of planning and keep all information in one place.

Excel

I know that Excel is a very powerful and useful tool that can be used at the workplace, at school, in any kind of business. I never had a necessity to use it at work. I know that excel is used for more than what I use it for. Complicated calculations and analytical operations are the advantages that I know about, as well as simple view of the spreadsheet.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell that I am proficient with excel, yet eager to learn. Right now I am using it for scheduling my days. It makes it easier that I don’t need to draw a table, and corrections are easy. Another thing I do on excel is I organize the data, such as phone numbers and other information about other people(contact info).
