My Writing Process

When it came to writing my paper i took the original idea I had for my first blog post and expanded upon it since it was of interest to me. i create a outline using one i created in my speech class from two years back i would create a thesis statement, three main point expand on those and then close out with a conclusion.I chose to write about the section called “your family” and how your parents have lost influence and control over you because of the media I feel like that describes America today. It wasn’t difficult  since i feel like that was a parallel of my life i was able to use my experience and opinion to flesh out the paper.

    Why do you think an outline you used to compose a speech can work well for a written assignment? That seems to say something interesting about the relationship between a speech and an academic paper, if not about speech and writing in general.

    There is a relation between a speech and academic paper in that sense. There has to be an opening statement, several main point being made and a conclusion. The only difference is however lengthy they are, usually the framework is the same surprisingly because with a speech and paper you are supposed to make an argument using good rhetoric.
