I intend for this upcoming semester to be filled with enlightenment. With every class I’ve taken, I’ve always wanted to leave knowing I took something from it, whether that be instructional or simply strengthening my apprehension of a particular topic. I look forward to not only enhancing and improving my writing skills, but better articulating them verbally. I typically struggle with putting my thoughts into words, but am able to do so when I’m prepared and have a good understanding of the topic at hand. I hope to have the support, guidance, and resources to allow me to gain an understanding of the work in class, to the greatest extent, in order for me to put my best foot forward and work my best. Something I noticed really contributed to me working my best and well is constructive feedback. The kind of constructive feedback on my work that would grant me the ability to reflect and work harder is the kind that pushes me to think beyond my previous work. With me always working towards improving and working harder than I have in the past, I strongly value feedback. Another thing I noticed about myself that interfered with my ability to work my best and I previously struggled with was organization and time management, which prompted me to invest in a weekly and monthly planner. It’s allowed me to incorporate and include the scheduling of my classes, along with my daily activities, family/personal events, etc. It serves as a reminder for assignments, events, or anything school-related/personal, in order for me to maintain a balanced schedule that doesn’t conflict. With this course I hope that both my writing and reading skills are challenged, to be more succinct in my writing, to decipher different works of literature, and overall, to be enlightened.

  1. I also have problems with time management. I would wait until the deadline to do my work which would affect the quality of my work. I’m still trying to figure out a schedule to follow but I can atleast say I am more productive now than I was months ago. I’ll also trying to use a weekly planner to see if it helps thanks for sharing that.
