This year was very eye-opening for me, whether it’s online learning or starting my first job it was a moment in my life that I will remember vividly.  Meanwhile, I will be starting my first semester at Baruch College and I’m particularly looking forward to meeting new people. One of my biggest goals coming to college is to network and present myself as someone approachable and relatable. In addition, I am looking to succeed in my math course especially as I find it the most difficult course compared to all my other classes. This can be difficult because college works very differently than how I remembered in high school. However, it can definitely be doable with enough persistence and effort.

Based on my meet with professor Gordon, I think she is an excellent instructor and what she can help me excel on would have to be my writing. What I mainly lack in writing is my word choices and repetitive content, with help from professor Gordon I believe I can improve on these skills. This semester will definitely be a change from Highschools, such as the varying schedule and the hybrid and synchronous classes. Yet. this is could be overcome as time goes by and we adapt to the new environment we are in. This course specifically will benefit me the most as in an introductory wise course to writing and literature. Most importantly we are all here to be educated in order to succeed in the future, and our first semester will be only the start of the journey.

This semester will be a very different experience in my life, I will get to see how an adult balances their education, work, and personal life, and days worth of schedule. Despite these difficulties, it’s part of everyone’s life experience to some sort of problems in life but it just shows the humans natural instinct to adapt and succeed.

  1. Nice post! I think you have a very good goal going into college. Networking is very important for our future careers. I am also looking forward to meeting new people. It’s definitely very different making friends in a hybrid learning environment.
