The first adjective that comes to mind when describing myself is honest. I admit, I may be “blunt” at times, but nothing is better than being straight-forward. I always tell people “looks can be deceiving,” because I am the complete opposite of what I look like. I may look Chinese, but I’m actually partially Hispanic. I may look unapproachable at times, but I am very kind-hearted. I may not look athletically competent, but I am somewhat of a decent bowler.
My top three concerns about my freshmen year at Baruch include:
1. I’m worried about not accumulating a high enough GPA, and that it’ll be hard to make it up in my subsequent terms.
2. I’m afraid of not using my club hours effectively. Not being involved in the extra-curriculars enough…
3. I fear choosing a bad schedule or horrible professors or bad classes for my next term.
Baruch will be different from Brooklyn Tech in a way that, I’m not as involved as I was in HS. I was part of the honor society, the SGO, the bowling team, the mural painting club. There is also a lot more freedom at Baruch, so much I start to procrastinate, or even, skip some homework that don’ really matter.
Lastly, Baruch is definitely going to change me–weight wise. Freshmen 15?! more like freshmen 25. Eating out every day is so unhealthy. But other than that, I think I’ll establish some very special connections at this new school. Some that will last a long, long time.
