Summary
After 7 years of hiatus, going back to school might sound too overwhelming and frightening to some. Life is undeniably more complicated than it was when I first began college, 13 years ago. Although it was something I had always planned on doing, the thought of having to trade in my free time for studies was absolutely scary. But I tell you, and please believe me, that it is absolutely worth it. No one is too old to learn.
Acquiring education is a right, not a privilege, still, sadly, not everyone is given the chance. Some go to school yet have to withdraw because of personal reasons. Others solely did not have the chance to attend school when they were younger because of personal, usually familiar, obligations. The great news is that education is open to everyone; everyone has the chance to try again. Going back to school after stopping for several years is the beginning of a new journey, a new venture.
Unfortunately, there are common stigmas that could undermine your decision or make you doubt the rationality of your choice to finally finish your studies after stopping for years. Nevertheless, you must bear in mind that these stigmas are fictitious and devious. The one truth that you should keep in your heart is that going back to school in your older self is an exemplary achievement. I did it, and I know you can do it too. All you need is unbreakable motivation and faith in yourself. It is never too late to achieve your dreams.
This was great. I do believe you fulfilled the idea of your teachable moment. School is in fact super important and worth it. It is never too late.
I think that you did an amazing job at displaying your teachable moment. I liked the way you emphasized how important school is without pushing the idea onto the reader.
It was very inspiring and relatable. Excited to read the rest of your paper.
