(5mins / Serves 2-3)

2 (1/2) oz Almond Milk

2  Cubes of Ice

1 Frozen or fresh banana

2 Organic pitted dates

2 tbsp. almond butter

1 c Organic Spinach

1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

4 tsp Hemp protein powder

4 Organic Strawberries

* Add the almond milk, ice, banana, and dates to a high speed blender and blend.

* Add almond butter, spinach, vanilla extract, hemp protein, and strawberries and continue to blend until smooth.

* Serve it in your favorite glass

– Eat yogurt ONCE a week! –

Why?! Eating a few cups of yogurt each week may significantly reduce your chances of developing  Type 2 diabetes. A new study also found similar benefits from other fermented dairy products, such as low-fat cheeses. Researchers tracked more than 4,000 men and women for 11 years. They found a 28% reduced risk of Type 2 Diabetes in people who ate about 20 ounces of yogurt a week compared to those who ate none. The study did not isolate which nutrients were responsible, but lead researcher Nita Forouhi. MD, said they are likely to include “calcium, magnesium, vitamin D (in fortified products), and potentially beneficial fatty acids… Fermented dairy products, including yogurt, are likely to have the further benefits of vitamin K and probiotic bacteria”.
