my playlist-
1. I believe I can fly- R Kelly
This song is one that relates to me. Its underline meaning is that the artist truly believe he can fly, when it so clearly is impossible. The fact that this is the message from this song shows that the artist had the same mentality as I do. Although it seems nearly impossible, I believe, or at least try to believe, that I can accomplish it.
2. Runaway love- Ludacris
This song is sad, but yet quite meaningful. It related to my life when I was about 10 yeas old. I had a friend who had a life just as the artist described. A mother who was crazy, a father who was never there for her, and a girl who was lost in this world. She felt lonely and worthless.
3. When September Ends.-
This song relates to me every year. Whether it was the start of third grade, junior year in high school, or freshman year in college, I feel the same about the month of september. Coming from a few months of summer, I just feel the same sort of hatred towards the month of September. Hence, I just want this month to pass within a blink of an eye.
4. Just the way You are-
This song describes the mentality I have with my girlfriend. I believe she is beautiful, funny, and smart, and I love everything about her. Since she is the best in so many ways, I never want her to change. This song basically describes a person who you would want to stay the same forever because you believe she, or he, is perfect in your eyes.
5. Misery- Maroon 5
The theme of this song is describing what a person needs to get out of his misery. There are many times in life when I feel awful, and I just need something to make me feel better. This song explains that without comfort from someone, the artist will remain in misery forever.
6. Find you love- Drake
This song describes the strength love can have between two individuals. I have this idea in mind when I think of marriage. When I grow older, and i want to get married, I want to think of this song. Understanding that love can be so powerful, I know that nothing can break the connection between my wife and myself.
7. Billionaire- Bruno Mars
This song basically describes the mentality of every being. “I want to become a billionaire.” Although everyone knows the difficulty of this task, everyone seems to strive for that goal. I, obviously, have that same idea. I want to be so successful, that I can call myself a billionaire.
8. Knock you Down- Keri Hilson
Sometimes love is harder to understand than you think. It is like a struggle you have to overcome. There are times when I feel, and believe, that love is great, but there are times in which we find that love brings you down. This songs describes the ups and downs of love, and shows that its a constant fight when it comes to love.
9. Forever Young- Drake
This song would have a stronger impact on me when I grow older. This song describes the feeling elders have as the become older; wanting to go back in time and stay young forever. Knowing myself, I would want to live life as a college student forever.
10. Russian Roulette- Rihanna
This song describes the “game” which was “played” years back. The game of Russian Roulette is all about risk. Although it may seem a bit extreme, this song gives an important message to everyone. This lesson teaches us that sometimes, in order to be successful in life, one must take risks.
