Angel Rosario

Hi, my name is Angel Rosario. I’m interning in the sports department at NBC. My responsibilities right now are to put highlights of sports videos on a timeline and I also have been gathering facts and information from around sports.

My goal is simply to experience a little bit of what it’s like to be a journalist in the real world. While I’ve had numerous internships in the past, they have all been in areas other than journalism. Interning at NBC will be a great experience in terms of learning some of the intricacies of being a journalist and has already and will continue to allow me to meet some great people who work in the field.

You like sports then, no? Sounds like a great time, a real-world, and no doubt fast-paced, environment. Have you done anything that stands out so far? I’m sure you’ll have plenty of stories by the end of the internship. Congratulations!

Sounds like a great an exciting internship. Multimedia production is the trend in the field, so if you do really well there, it will lead to much bigger opportunities. Good luck!

That sounds like an amazing internship! I must say, being a huge sports fan myself, I am a bit jealous. I think formulating highlight videos of various plays teaches editing skills as well as providing you with a journalistic view on America’s favorite past time. Great job!

What’s up Angel? That sounds awesome. You’re lucky you’re going to be working with video and what I imagine some video editing as well. I feel like that’s going to be such an important skill to possess now that so much of journalism is multimedia based. Good luck.

Thanks for the responses, now that I’ve worked here for a few more days, and the other interns have started, and the schedules are getting set, my duties are expanding from video as well. Today I’ve put Ray Allen highlights from yesterday’s game on a timeline and written a few sentences of what Bruce Beck may say about it for the news at 6! So I am starting to learn a bit more about what it takes to produce a broadcast.
