Samsung was recently fined $340,000 for illegally paying people in Taiwan to trash HTC, a rival in the smartphone industry, in various blogs and forums. Samsung has been caught doing this multiple times and shows no signs of slowing down.

Back in the year 2000, Baruch students had to retake the midterms because of a computer glitch. But for as long as we have been here, we haven’t had a single setback in any of our classes that would lead to more work for us.
BBM was downloaded 10 million times within the first 24 hours that it was released to the public, and the reviews were stellar to say the least. But it was found out that many of those reviews were fake and actually were the same thing just repeated hundreds of times. So who knows if its good.
Youtube is said to be coming out with a paid music player, like spotify. Personally i don’t think it would do too well because spotify is already so popular, unless it is drastically cheaper.
Amazon is constantly atop the stock market with great sales and outstanding stock prices, but the company has not been able to turn a profit.
Apple is trying to gain the Microsoft Office market from Microsoft by implementing a very similar suite to office, which will also be free. It is called iWork and it is available to any Mac customer. Office usually runs you about $200 so this seems like a great idea.
