CUNYfirst

Remember eSIMS? For those new to the college, you probably do not. For those that were taking classes at Baruch this was how you registered for classes each semester. First, students woud register for their course using eSIMS, and if the class was full then they would need to keep trying again and again, hoping to get lucky and enroll. If you were lucky enough to be enrolled then you would print your bill and get ready to wait in the long lines at the Bursar’s Office and Registrar’s Office and so on. It was a headache.

Last year, CUNY introduced a new system to be used by Baruch College students and staff called CUNYfirst to provide a smooth path for students to enroll, and also for administrative offices to better manage their work. The CUNYfirst system provides all of your college related business under one roof. Once you are eligible to enroll, you can plan your classes at your convenience, you can manage your campus finances with one click, you can check you academic history, your GPA, and many more. More than that, if you want your unofficial or official transcript, you can obtain this through a few clicks. If your employer asks for enrollment verification letter from your college, just login to your CUNYfirst account and print it.

The best feature of this system is that, if the course section is full then you can add yourself into a wait-list which works on a first come first served bases. Fair Enough!

In short, CUNYfirst is a system available to students, where students have access to all campus related tasks including academic tasks and administrative tasks. Rather then going from one office to another, now Baruch provides you the platform to access everything at your fingertips and at your convenience.
