Agriculture in New York City – The New York Ticker

The title “Keeping agriculture alive near New York City (Yes, Really)” is a fitting one especially because of the (Yes, Really) that is added to it. As it is mentioned in the article New York is not seen as an agricultural state but it can be. Eating healthier and having a healthier population is something that is getting a lot of attention but not a lot is being done about it. In Baruch college we have the inside food that ranges from healthy salads to greasy pizzas and then the students pick their choice. But healthy food from small local farms in NYS is overshadowed by the big McMansions, as mentioned in the NY Times article.
