The author of The new yorker article, Ricardo Nuila,  describes the largest problem within dealing with covid-19 is the staffing for hospitals in Texas. Individuals in Texas have rose to the situation and taken larger roles to do their part, as nurses are on overdrive taking longer shifts and stretching themselves out to attend to more patients. The medical community as a whole in Texas has been struggling to handle the Covid situation with the surge in cases and numbers while also not having the space or staff to have the situation in a comfortable and controlled state.  Although  The situation in Texas has required more help from anyone able to give a helping hand which those requests are being answered by out of state nurses and doctors leaving their state to come help fight the virus where it is needed the most.

Besides the struggles and hardships within hospitals there is another problem outside of hospitals that are considered absolute ridiculousness from the medical staff with hospitals. Individuals that refuse to wear masks or any type of P.P.E when the state of the world requires that to happen for progress to be made in moving forward to a non-covid world. Individuals that take the circumstances of the world seriously and do what is necessary to maintain the well being of others and themselves are the key to allow for society to return to a normal way of life so Life may start becoming more comfortable in many ways. The ideals of “freedom” and “independence” that are taken to the extreme crash immensely with the necessities of a community as  the reasoning of not wearing necessary equipment because you don’t want to completely counter acts  the message meany communities are conveying which is no matter if you like it or not this equipment is the only way to better our situation with the least amount of problems.
