The five principle of new media studies is numerical representation ,modularity ,automation , variability, and culture transcoding. Culture Transcoding refers to the process of media transforming from one to the another. This mainly focuses on context of new media’s in both the tradition and the computer. New media is about videos, images, texts interaction and interpretation of the meaning within society. On the other hand, the same media exists as online data interpreted by machines. This flexibility shapes how we acknowledge new media. For example , a digital picture can be analyzed by a people but truth is that it’s made up of different coding that processes the image on the screen. Transcoding allows photography to transform easily on to the computer and it can be photoshopped to a different imagery all through the process. This transformation from tradition and the coding creates and sustains content for more audience. Social media has a system that automatically transcode photos or videos to fit different formats that allows it to be accessible across different platforms and devices. This ability to transform media content is the ability to flexibly of social media.In this sense, transcoding changes the way we understand media by acknowledging digital content is always changeable customizable, and constantly renewing.

I can connect deeply with this lesson. I feel like life is about telling stories, as

your age inclines, you have more experience that only you have gone through

and thats really important. There are times I felt uncomfortable being who I

am and I tried ways other people do things. Trying to copie someone else isn’t

a smart decision to make since they might have gone through a lot to test out

their own way to work things out in the surface and there are lots behind that

you don’t know. Social Media is a great real life example of this exact topic.

People are getting viral and started earning crazy amounts of money on

platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Some audience are jealous but also

admire a job like this where you can just post videos and not do any job and

you can earn thousands of dollars. One of the tiktokers posted a behind the

scenes of everyday posting and they were definitely not as easy as it might

seen. Hate comments were a major part of what has been lead by social media

too. It caused a lot of bloggers to commit sucide because of their mental

health. People online thinks social media as a guard to them and they could

speak anything without any consequences even though words might lead to

death.

As this trend goes on, many people started doing the same things and post the

same content. People who does their content uniquely started to pop out and

gets audience that are attracted to their own life style. No copying just what

their everyday life was about.
