My name is Tiara Mia Mercedes, and I am a freshman at Baruch College. My academic journey has centered around English and Sociology. These subjects have captivated me since I was young, stemming from my early years in the Dominican Republic, where I first discovered my passion for crime stories and literature. I would lose myself in crime investigation documentaries and spend hours crafting my own stories, eager to share them with anyone willing to listen. The positive feedback I received was incredibly encouraging, transforming what I once considered a simple pastime into a potential path forward.

This deep-seated interest led me to explore the complexities of human behavior through Sociology and the art of storytelling and written expression in English. Both fields offer fascinating insights into the human experience, from the intricacies of societal dynamics to the boundless creativity found in literature.
