the author says that race does not exist, thatit is not biolgical. it is more of a socail contract. he also say that our race does not make up who are.
people who are not in the same race will catagrze other people.
example we did in class with the scarves. when we separted eevryone with scarves and said they are low.
The author of “Three is Not Enough” argues that race is not enough to explain the diversity of human kind. He states that there are four kinds of argument against the standard racial categories. One would be genes. In this argument, Bagley talks about how Lewontin researched and found out that there could be more genetic variation between two people of the same race then people from two totally different races. Another one of Begley’s arguments is that there are many ways to group people based on their traits so why do it by skin color. Another of Begley’s arguments is subjectivity, which basically means that the boundaries between the races depends on the person deciding it and that everyone has their own cultural norms on which they make their claim. Begley’s last argument is evolution. He claims that populations that evolved together and seperatley from others can’t all be in the same race. Basically, Begley’s main claim is that we should’nt sort people into so few groups because we all have such different characteristics.
