I’ve just added all of your names to the blog as authors, so you will be able to post to the blog and edit your own posts. Your first blog assignment is to write about a connection you perceive between Gilgamesh and an article published in the New York Times between September 6 and September 10.

Obviously, you’ll need to read Gilgamesh before posting.

Your blog post must cite a specific passage from the epic poem, as well as the title and date of the article you compare it to, and at least one passage from the article. You should include a link to the Times article with your blog post.

For the moment, I’ve named our blog “Darmok” — but we can change that if many of you object; you’ll let me know.
