There are two major corporations that currently operate on Bloom Box units: eBay and Google. The online auction company eBay currently has five Bloom Box units running on bio gas made from the landfill waste. As stated by the CEO of eBay John Donahoe they were installed on company property nine months ago and have saved the company over $100,000 in electricity costs. On a weekly basis the Bloom Box generates five times as much power than the three thousand solar cells that are installed on the roofs of the company’s buildings. Google’s data center has been using a Bloom Box unit the size of a refrigerator for 18 months. It uses half as much natural gas as would be required to generate the same amount of energy at a traditional power plant. Other corporations using bloom box are: Walmart, Staples, FedEx, At&T, Verizon, Coca-Cola and many more.
