Hello Dear Guest! It’s my first blog experience, I’m a bit scared and at the same moment I’m excited about creating something, that is mine!

I’m taking literature class that covers a period from 1650 to modern time. We read  works of famous writers and poets, who represent world literature.I would like to dedicate my blog to the representation of  the role of women in different periods of time in world literature. I was thinking a lot what topic I should choose . Then we had to write an essay for our literature class  and  the topic of  the essay  was “Characterization of women and attitude towards them”, while I was writing my essay, I started loving this theme and I found it interesting for me.

The seventeenth century  was  a beginning of the period of changes in the world. In the seventeen century  lots of protests  were happening throughout the world. Changes were happing in social convention, in political ideas, philosophical ideas.People wanted to get more freedom in their ideas,more freedom of  speech .Those changes affected everyone ,including women. The role of women started changing slowly and many writers’ works showed this adjustment in the society.

We can see many changes in the society, that had existed  throughout the whole history of humanity, but I think the most significant shift has been  in the role of women since the seventeenth century.
