Welcome

Join us for the Women in Politics Event hosted by the Baruch College Undergraduate Student Government Legislative Affairs Committee happening on March 31st at 12:30 PM in the Multipurpose Room, 1-107. We conclude Women’s History Month as we celebrate and learn from prominent women in the fields of politics, government, and non-profit.

Women in Politics

Our mission is to empower young women to envision themselves as the future leaders of tomorrow.

Our goal is for members of audience to feel encouraged, enlightened and empowered by prominent women in their field who have experience beating adversity, and making strides in political and governmental environments. We want to contextualize the possibility of success in for students in their own personal endeavors.

Considering women only make up a quarter of the U.S. Congress and women make up a little more than half of the U.S. population, we are excited to host this in-person event to uplift and encourage women to pursue civic engagement.

This event is catered to motivate young women to pursue or engage with political careers or activities through a brief history, student-moderate panel, a networking session and a gift card giveaway.

All Baruch students are welcome to attend! Regardless of your gender identity, we invite you to become an ally and position yourself to enable the success of women in our society.
