Meet our Legislative Affairs Team!

Karina Chiqui

Karina is a senior majoring in Marketing Management with a double minor in Political Science and New York City Studies. She is the USG 2021-2022 Vice President of Legislative Affairs. Karina enjoys matching her marketing skills with her passion for empowering first generation college students and women of color.

She was a previous Constituent Services and Community Affairs intern for New York State Senator Alessandra Biaggi, apart of the CUNY Women’s Public Service Internship Program, and a Brand Management Intern on the Always brand at Procter and Gamble. She is also captain of the Baruch Women’s Cross Country Team.

Ashley Chen

Focus: Panelists

Ashley is a junior double majoring in Political Science and Sociology and double minoring in NYC studies and journalism. She is also a community organizer and currently the Policy Fellow at the Chinese- American Planning Council (CPC), where she works to advocate for the needs of low-income, immigrant, and AAPI communities.

Atifah Osmani

Focus: Club & Orgs Co-Sponsor

Atifah is a sophomore majoring in Political Science. She is highly involved in community service and is passionate about promoting racial and ethnic diversity in the legal profession, as well as serving underrepresented communities. She is currently an organizing fellow for Congresswoman Maloney, is Vice Chair of PR at Baruch’s BSA, and is on the marketing team for Baruch’s Our B.I.A.S.

Jessica Yauri

Focus: Greeting Team / Set Up Team

Jessica is a proud first generation Ecuadorian-American second year SEEK student at Baruch College majoring in Business Management with a minor in Law and Policy. Set to graduate in June 2024,she is passionate about helping through Youth Advocacy and Organizing in order to help low-income transgender and women of color.
