Ideal Essay

My opinion of an ideal essay is somewhat similar to the typical essay that most students use for school. An essay should consist of a central theme as well as details that support this theme, whether it is formal, informal, informative, or opinion essays. All essays should have a central theme and not be random ideas one after another. An essay shouldn’t be confined to the structures of an ideal essay. I’ve learned that essays need a one body paragraph introduction which includes the thesis, three supporting body paragraphs and one concluding paragraph. I find that so constricting.  An essay should be however many pages the writers wants it to be to the extent that it fully explains the idea the writer is trying to convey. A one paragraph introduction? I find that sometimes one or two sentences is enough for the introduction. Whenever I write an introduction to an essay, I would usually have to make it more “fancy” and add more sentences to it just to fit the criteria of a paragraph. The number of paragraphs in the body should not be limited. The amount of paragraphs should be sufficient in supporting the idea, but it should still be structuralized (if that’s a word). What I mean by that is the paragraphs should be grouped. If more than one paragraph illustrates the same idea, then these paragraphs should be one after another rather than in another order. Lastly, all essays need a conclusion to summarize up the essay. If you don’t have a conclusion, its like a movie not having an ending.  Kind of like the movie Inception. If anyone’s seen it I know you went like “WTF” or “Omg” at the “end”.
Anyways. My idea of an ideal essay is similar to the standard essay except that there are no constrictions on writing the essay. As long as an essay has a central theme, supporting details, and a conclusion, it’s a good essay. It doesn’t matter how long each paragraph is, or how many paragraphs there are, as long as it is well organized.
