Paper #2 Revision

The revision are going well, I am still having trouble developing my thesis though.  I wanted to write about my Bartleby because humanity can its definitiveness has always been a mystery to me. I know the religious interpretation depicts the narrator as God and Bartleby as Jesus, but I want to focus on the humanity that the narrator depicts. Although the narrator maybe interpreted as healthier more well functioning person I want to capture the fact that the narrator’s work has made him even less human than Bartleby.  The work that the narrator does makes him less human because of the fact he rather surround himself with useful people rather than real person. The reason I wanted to write about this topic is because the notion of work dehumanizing a person is an idea that scares me, which may not be an apparent theme in Meville story, but it is definitely something probable to find during  closing reading passage and having a sort of “a-ha moment” about the relationship between the narrator and Bartleby.

I have only seemed to write down one of the two quotes I wanted to add to my essay and cannot remember what the second one was. I am contemplating continuing trying to remember/find the quote, but I rather close read several passages of the story again and possibly find another quote to incorporate into my essay. I still have a whole page left before I hit the 5 page limit so I feel confident I can incorporate the last quote and work on connecting my paragraphs to let my paper flow more smoothly.
