So, Natalie & I have been running around Manhattan like two crazy chickens without heads all weekend. We’re almost done recording… and I’ve already started editing. Tomorrow we’re planning on going to Times Square, and Madison Square Garden. We’ve already gone to Union Square, the Flat Iron District, Wall Street, the Promenade, and a few other places. We’ve met tons of interesting people and seen such random but fascinating things. This project has turned out to be like a mini trip around new york from a natives eyes’. The video has actually been a lot of fun, it’s probably the most enjoyable project I’ve done all year… (P.S. Hope you grade the video)
On the other hand I’m not that confident with my paper. Professor Kaufman told me that I’m writing the next Ginsberg novel (which I take as a compliment) … but that’s not good since it’s only a 7 page paper. This is the first paper that I know exactly what my thesis, purpose and motivation are based around…. but I just feel constricted condensing it down to 7 pages. I never thought I’d say this but I wish I had more room to write aha! … After the one on one meetings with Professor Kaufman I was able to more narrowly focus my paper on how Ginsberg’s style of writing corresponded to his political methods and was inspired by them. I’m just a bit nervous with the whole revision process, /i really hope I do well with this paper because it’s something I’m extremely passionate about.
Anyways I thought I’d post some images fro mine and Natalie’s tour around NY so far…
