I was born in China, and came to the America three and half years ago. As a result I could speak two languages which are Chinese and English. I could also speak two dialects of Chinese, Cantonese and Mandarin, because in schools in China teachers teach in Mandarin, and my parents speak Cantonese at home. I also have strong learning ability. When I was in China, my grades of different subjects were high. After I’ve been in the America, my math became my strongest subject because I always get good grades on this subject, and classmates in my math classes always asked me questions. In addition, I am also a good listener. My friends are all like to talk to me because everytime they talk to me I would not interrupt them and listen quietly. However, I am a shy person. This cause I do not like to participate very much. One of my last semester professors told me that I need to speak and share my opinions more in class. This problem always exists even since I was in China. The comment which I need to put more my hands up is on my school record every semester. The biggest reason causes I do not like to speak in class after I have been in American if because English is not my first language so that I don’t feel very comfortable when I am speaking it. I am also a procrastinator. Everytime I have homework or essays I always do them until the last minute. My mother always complains about this because as a result I do not have enough time to rest. When I am studying, I would easily distracted by other things such as dramas. I have low self-control. Therefore, everytime I make a time schedule and it would not work for me.
