Cover is plastic see-thru, and binding style is perfect binding.

This is a really simple book, but the text and all the detail has classical look and very interesting.

There are holes created by burning the papers, and you can read a text throught the hole written on the next paper.  The edge of the hole is brown maybe since its burnt, and looks very beautiful.

Using a pamphlet sewing, and using different size of paper very wisely.

You can see the edge of other paper, and they use the part wisely to show other text written in different paper.  The papaer itself is different, and gives an interesting finish.

on the edge of alll the paper, there is a black and white patterns, so it doesnt look like a typical book.  Using a perfect binding, and the width and heigh is the same size.  There is a text written just in middle of the paper.

This is a book putting all document about an event taken place in Germany.(I think)

Using some kind of binding similar to Japanese 4 hole binding put together.  For the document recording the interviews, the editor used a different size of Type and showing the emotions of speech,

The Diary of Madma/ Nikolai Gogol

Its one of my favorite writers book accompanied with illustration.  This book have a box, and have a very solid cover.  using some kind of Japanese 4 hole binding, but the cover is solid like a wood and covered with other cloth.  The book is designed to create the atmosphere the story have, and very well made.  Cost around $200 so I couldnt buy.

50/50

As the title says, there is 50 percent black and 50percent white in all pages, using different shape and patterns.  Very clever idea and cute.  Using perfect binding, but the cover is made by plastic and very solid.

1 Black Hard coverd book, about Music.  The title will be all black as well, but make it readable by its texture.

2 Sort of CD cover & Book.  Illustrate the cover according to the music, and put info inside of the cover

5 Tricky book with a lot of eye illusion , and cut the cover to show the picture beneath.

6 My Favorite writer’s guide book.  With elegant classic style, I will put many quote and pictures associate the writers.

7 Using a thin transparent paper, I will make it readable with all together, as well as with each papers.

8 A tiny book which I can put in my pocket.  I will write a guide of NYC.

9 Big few page book to mainly show my pictures.

10 A magazine to advertise my activities and event.  Smaller size with many pictures.

The books I picked were all perfect binding.

Rainer Maria Rilke  Letters to A Young Poet $11.00

This book’s typeface is very unique.  It have art nouveau taste on everything, and have a cherry blossom on the front page with brown cover.  I really like the type face used on the text, and it is quite clear and easy to read.

I also like the fact that there is 3 blank page at the end.

Franz Kafka  Blumfeld, An Elderly Bachelor $18.95

This book is very Unique.  The cover is all black, and there is wired white text on the back.  When you open the page, there is cute, yet illusional pattern on the other side of the cover with blue and white stripe.  Furthermore, there are wired little pictures between the text pages, and text is soo big compared to other books.

Yes, its Kafka’s book.

Voltaire Candide

It has the perfect classic look with the green fabric hard cover.  And it is the classic novel.

I tend to like the classic both style and literature, and this is the example of it.  I couldn’t find the price, but it should cost a lot.

BlakeButler Scorch Atlas $14.95

This book is new, but it is designed like a old worn book you find in library.  This book even have a library label on the back.  All page’s paper is like a photo paper, and have a printing beneath the text, which also make this book like a old one.

Michel Chabon The Yiddish Policemen’s Union $15.95

I don’t particularly like this book, but it stands out more than other books, and I couldn’t ignored this.  This book’s cover have a Aztec-ish color and design.  The graphic is very powerful and catches your eyes.  Inside is typical old book.

Fyodor Dostoevsky  The Adolescent $16.95

I love this book and this author.  This is a cute yet odd story about young boy, but the cover is yellow and cannot tell what kind of story it have thru the cover art.  The cover art is somewhat classical; however, compared to other Dostoevsky’s book, it looks modern.  The text of the context is easy to read, and I also like the size of the book—it’s little bigger than usual.

David Barringer There’s nothing funny about Design $24.95

Like the title, this book is cute and well designed.  The cover is very colorful and well organized.  This book shows design from the government official letters to many little things.
