I like black and red combine together in this picture. It creates a scary feeling. The shadow of the body is in between visible and invisible but the knife is clear to be seen. If you have good printer and match paper I believe it will come out a good design. But if you use the wrong paper to print I assume that it will out only solid black for the body.
i like the distressed patter but i can’t seem to grasp why this is when children attack and i’m not even reliving a bad fox special. (by bad i mean hilarious) You’ve seen those “when animals attack” shows. Anyways, it’s intriguing but i don’t know where to place that thing in the middle it doesn’t really do anything towards furthering the message of your piece.
Wow, either that slasher’s got big hair, or she’s wearing a PAC MAN ghost mask! This is a visually arresting image, and as much as I hate violence, I’d rather look at this image if I was stuck on a desert island than look at the baby Xmas cards someone else posted!
In terms of making it realistically look like a shadow, you might want to blur the edges of the shadow very slightly. But don’t blur them too much–or the BLUR POLICE will come out with sirens blazing!
I think the bottom right character is enough for this picture, since that’s the first thing I looked at when I first clicked on the image. I also didn’t get why there’s a big black thing in the middle… it seemed like it’s an important part of this piece but I can’t figure out what it stands for. Maybe you can change the shape a little(I can’t tell if it’s a head or a hat or a body)?
I really like the knife idea… I see not only horror but some hatred there, and with the distorted face, the character looks even more like a monster (so I guess in a way I could explain what I see as children are monsters to their parents)
I really wanted to show Children for what they really are. They are not innocent little angels, they are physically under developed people, no different from adults. They have their own minds, own will, they love ad they hate like everybody else. A children from what i have seen is more vicious than an adult b/c they have not been fully socialized to keep their thoughts at bay. In schools Children speak of killing their parents and harming the teachers just as much as Adults talk about sex and money.
Children deal by torture, exerting their pain on to others to communicate and release. Adults deal by denial, masking their pain with 10 mintue adrenaline fixes. In a Sense the child’s way of dealing with it is healthier for the individual which is why children hold no grudges and can always seem happy, but with out proper outlets others get hurt. Adults are killing themselves by not dealing, and others still get hurt.
