Interesting, Speaks directly to kind of light at the end of the tunnel that we are currently on. With prices rising, jobs fleeing and the younger generation looking for “healther and cleaner” this will be the future of city life… Modern time ghost towns mimiced after western time ghost towns.
it would have been funny if the image were equipt with ragg weed balls too. Don’t do it though, it might be cheesy.
    Good job!

  2. These images are strong for their simplicity and use of depth. In both pictures you are making visually strong and conceptually meaningful relationships between ‘nature’ and ‘culture’ (the landscape and the architecture).

In this image with the desert city, you’re applying a filter to the buildings, I think to make it look more like a mirage? But, the sand dunes in the background do not have the same effect on them, which they would have if this were an actual mirage. Let me make 2 suggestions:
1- tone down the filter effect on the city, perhaps by half – you’ll still have the effect of the mirage but it won’t be as overpowering; and
2- add the mirage effect to the landscape but do it in a separate mayer and use your layer mask to gradually fade the effect in as you move from the foreground to the background.
