The mission of The Baruch College Alumni Magazine (BCAM) is to communicate the vision of the College. Published in print twice yearly and published online with up-to-date, exclusive material throughout the year, BCAM showcases recent campus events, honors, and faculty scholarship, with coverage weighted heavily toward alumni news and achievement.
The print magazine reaches an audience of more than 118,000 alumni and donors, as well as corporations, foundations, friends of the College, and prospective students and faculty. The online magazine has been viewed by more than 60,000 visitors since its launch in November 2010.
The magazine is produced by the College’s Office of Communications, Marketing & Public Affairs, which works closely with Baruch’s faculty and administrators from the Office of Alumni Relations, the Office of College Advancement, the Office of the President, the Deans’ Offices, College centers and institutes, the Baruch College Performing Arts Center (BPAC), and the Athletics Department, among other departments and offices. The Office of Communications, Marketing & Public Affairs benefited greatly from the expertise of the College’s Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute throughout the online magazine development process.
Through the magazine, alumni and other friends of the College connect with each other and their alma mater. The College hopes these connections will inspire readers to become more involved with the College and its students.
