Baruch Hosts Panel on GMO-Labelling in New York State

In today’s health conscious world, many people are growing more and more concerned everyday if the food that they consume is healthy for them. Much controversy has been surrounding the use of GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) in the food that New Yorkers consume everyday. Much of the controversy comes from the fact that many people are confused by Genetically Modified Organisms. What exactly GMOs are is something that still confuses many people today and many wonder if people are harming their health when eating genetically modified foods. Recently, legislation has been proposed about labelling genetically modified foods in New York State and this issue will be discussed at the panel. This panel is a great way to learn about GMOs and it will be held on October 24th, a Thursday, from 5-7 pm in NVC 2-125.
