Going to the Madison Square Garden for the first time was like any other park. However, it was my first time observing and actually taking a moment to look at monuments and what people around me were doing. I felt a little out of place, as if I was a tourist. Although the monuments are always there, no one ever takes the time to look at them or even read the plaques that have a message. I had come across this bench and sat on it for a couple of minutes. I took a picture of my view and I had finally understood what the plaque had meant. It was windy and cold that I could see my breathe in the air, but I felt at peace. No worries in the world, only a nice view of the trees losing leaves, flowing all around. Nature is truly an immaculate view once you take a moment to view what Mother Nature has to offer. I walked around more and found that the memorials on the benches are overlooked but it doesn’t make them less important because they might be special to a family.
I can relate to you because it was my 2nd time going to the park but it was my first time actually stopping to really observe and I also felt somewhat out of place walking around and taking pictures.
