The Ted Talk really enlightened me on the wonders of our criminal justice system in America. Even though it’s extremely unfortunate and cost Curtis it’s almost comical that he was given a felony and not told anything at all. Curtis lost many opportunities and jobs because of this. This story makes me wonder how many other people had a similar situation but didn’t have the means or the willpower to solve it screwing them over permanently.

It’s infuriating to see how certain people can be treated so unfavorably just because of their race. We definitely need a system that treats everyone equally under the law without biases.
I also agree and believe that structural racism is a very big problem in the United States. It’s important that we acknowledge the problem and as a society improve.
