Over the semester, there have been various assignments such as Interviews, Comparison essays, Blog posts and many more since the start of the semester. When taking a look at my work over the semester I have come to realize a change in my style of writing. Throughout the semester I have worked on professionalism and correcting grammatical fallacies I had once committed while writing. Not only has this organization of my writing helped me with the assignments in this class, but also with my writing assignments for my other classes and overall writing. This has helped me to continuously push towards developing my structure and keep a professional tone when it comes to my overall writing.
One particular piece of work that I am quite proud of is Project 2 or the Women in Red Project. I was a decently long process for me trying to research someone who was barely known and being able to find a decent amount about the life and accomplishments of that person. Along with having a new experience with editing getting familiar with Wikipedia and going through the entire process of writing a Wikipedia page. It was a bit of a complicated process, yet it was rewarding in the end seeing the page turn out quite nice and even bring attention to the person I had researched with the wiki page being recognized and edited on my other user. The essay on this process perfectly reflected how my writing has differed compared to the 1st project and shows the development in my writing throughout the semester.
Even though I felt that Project 2 was quite challenging because of the various parts it had. For me, I felt as if Project 1 or the comparison of the BLM and BPP projects was a bit more challenging as I remember reading it and my first drafts being difficult to read while my topics were all over the place. However, this would be the work where I started to analyze my writing and continuously work on improving grammar, organization, structure, and other common mistakes I would make in my writing and by the end it would turn out much better than the original drafts. That challenge of going over an essay various times helped point out areas in my writing where I need to work on and is a good testament to the development in my writing style over the semester.
