Passions can have various meanings depending on the person who is defining it. Everybody has their own unique passions, it’s a part of what makes up your personality. For me passions are things that bring joy and meaning into your life, and help your growth as a person. Three of my passions include: spending time with friends and family, traveling, and helping others.
Spending time with friends and family is something I always enjoyed doing. I feel like spending quality time with those who matter to you is important because tomorrow is never guaranteed. I would always go out with friends during the week and it was something my parents encouraged because they would prefer that over me staying at home being on my phone. It taught me to appreciate being able to spend time with others without constantly spending time on a screen. When I was younger and my family would take me somewhere I would try to use my phone but had it taken away from me, eventually I actually preferred not being on it while we were out because it taught me to live in the moment.
Traveling is important to me because there are so many places I want to visit. Other countries always intrigued me because there are so many cultures and places I know nothing about. I’ve traveled to a few places with my dad and he was the one who made me fall in love with learning about other cultures and how things work in other places. To me traveling doesn’t necessarily mean getting on a plane and flying far away, you can also explore places you live near but never visited.
Another passion I have is to help others. Helping others is important to me because it helps make the world a better place. In my opinion there is no reason not to help another if you’re fully capable of doing so. A little kindness can go a long way for some people because you never know what they can be going through, and taking the time out of your day to do something simple like giving them directions can make their day.
Passions vary from person to person depending on their morals and personal preferences. However, passions aren’t set in stone. A few years or even weeks from today your passions can completely change and reflect personal growth. It’s important to have passions because it shapes you into who you are and teaches you how to deal with situations in life.

I agree with you that spending quality time with loved ones is an important aspect of life because you never know what may happen the next day, but you’ll know that you’ve spent your time making memories with others.
I agree with you on traveling. I really didn’t think about that and you bring out a really good point on traveling doesn’t necessarily mean you have to go to another country, you just have to go out an explore new places.
