My first passion is cooking. Ever since I was a kid, and still today, I have been wanting to open a restaurant one day. In my culture, food is one of the biggest aspects. Families and friends connect over food. Both my parents introduced me to cooking Bengali cuisine. It is rich in spices and flavors but it is incredibly hard to make. I usually stick to American or East Asian cuisine because I find it to be easier than Bengali dishes. My go to dishes are fried rice, pasta with meat sauce, or even some desserts like cheesecake. When it comes to Bengali foods, I know how to make small snacks and appetizers. I enjoy making foods like samosas or “nasta noodles” which is basically Maggi noodles with egg and green chilies.
Another passion of mine is biking and going outdoors to explore new places. I hope to visit every country in the world one day. I enjoy learning about new cultures, trying their food, and interacting with new people. I think it is important to visit different countries, especially countries that may be misrepresented in our media. I enjoy being outdoors; it is so relaxing and takes away all my stress. Biking is something I always used to do as a kid and I mean every single day. Not only is it healthy for you, but it is also relaxing.
My third passion is video games. My cousins introduced me to video games when I was young. And ever since then my love for video games have grown. I’ve tried everything from roblox, to first person shooter games, to story games, etc. It allows me to escape the stresses of this world and do something I enjoy. Also, I usually always play with my cousins so it gives me time to hang out with them. Video games can be addicting so it is important to create a healthy relationship with it. I try not to spend too much time playing games but when I do I try to enjoy every minute.
