I did some more research and but focused more in the aspect on how airlines will benefit from the 3D printed area. I found a video that shows how can 3D food print help the airlines industry. In the next few years this can be very beneficial because regular airplane food can be very limited and also for people who are pregnant or have any health condition. Food sometimes is not fresh, so this 3D printing would help to give more options of food and more fresh result for the passengers.

This video portrait exactly what I had in mind, the passengers gets to chose what meal they want by tapping in a screen that is located behind every seat. You can select the menu depending on the time of the day, then after few minutes the order can be ready. The passenger can pick from shape of their food to ingredients. I think it would take some time that this becomes a reality but I see it happening.
