Othello ActIII
For todays discussion I will be covering ACT 3 scene 4
The topic I will be going over is Othello’s jealousy because it has lead to an argument between him and Desdemona. This is showing the weakness in their marriage and how they aren’t good at comminicating in their marriage. The scholarly article that i will be using to support my discussion is Othello’s Jealousy by Millicent Bell where he discusses the sexual jealousy of Othello and how it has lead to the tragic ending of the play.
discussion question: Do you think Othello is jealous? &
Should Desdemona be worried?

One Response to “Othello ActIII”
Millicent Bell brings up a great point in his article that I think is a common theme when dealing with a strong emotion such as jealousy. Bell refers to jealousy as “a fatal disease” which leads to the demise of Othello.
