This week so far has gone really well for as I was able to finish this blog post without going crazy. Just kidding, so far almost everything has been going pretty smooth except for math fo which I have to study a lot so that’s is something I am really not looking forward to. I was able to finish the majority of my work done that involved a lot of writing. So I am very happy about that but going into next week I have multiple exams for which I have to really study. The only aspect of this week that I found interesting would be the schedule builder which I am currently using to enroll in courses. So overall this week has been pretty good with some interesting moments.

My research question is heavily based on author credibility and audience engagement. For that, I needed to find a source that is very journalistic and criticizes a topic. Which I can use to talk about author credibility using his/her perspective and if it caused audience engagement.

I found this source to be very interesting as it is reading about human behavior and how we use our literacy/body language to communicate or express ourselves. Mark Manson’s excerpt really connects to my research question also as his excerpt has a lot to do with audience engagement and credibility building. So the audience better understands his perspective.

This week so far has been really great as I am almost done with all my work that is due this weekend. Assignment for this has not been really hard as most of them are reading and class participation. One thing that proved difficult in my English work where I had to come up with a research question which proved to be a bit confusing in my opinion as I had a hard time comprehending the instructions. But it’s not going to hold me back I am sure if I mail my English teacher she will help me sort it out. I have an upcoming math exam for which I will really have to study for as I need to improve my grade for that course. Other than that I am feeling very positive going into next week with good preparations.

The invention strategies reading was very interesting to me as I can very much relate to it. The reading talks about one should be able to critically think and question oneself for the betterment of his own perspective. Which I liked very much as I myself like to really go in-depth with my writing and critical thinking really helps with that. I

“Freewrite without editing to avoid self-censoring and allow free flow of ideas” (Invention Strategies )

This was my favorite strategy because I love free writing and helps me develop different skills that I was foreign to. So exploring new areas of literature is always something that is dear to me and for that reason, I find invention strategies to be very attractive reading as it contains very different ideas that will help me better understand a certain topic. 

My Question:

How can one use the complexities of literature to better express and supports his argument?

This week so far has been quite exhausting to b honest as I had multiple exams I had to take. It has been the roughest week so far for me. But I am very glad I am done with that and very much looking forward to getting a good night’s sleep this weekend. Talking about the weekend, I hope it goes well for me as I have finished up a history project and make corrections to my English analysis paper then turn those in. So I am looking forward to putting work into those. Other than that my week should go smoothly as I go into next week I should have very little work to finish up. For which I am glad.

We are in an era where technology is very ubiquitous as everyone utilizes it on a daily basis. This is why it became a crucial part of human behavior and uses. Many might look at technology as means of laziness and plagiarism but I strongly believe that technology strengthens our contribution to society. Technology helps us reduce stress and have a better influence around us. The More Technology The Better an article written by Geneseo M. Carter and Aurora Matzke (Carter 320) talks about how digital technology is something that will help us do more good than bad. Digital technology can do things like video games or artificial assistants like Amazon Alexa. Having these technologies at our disposal will help us deal with difficult tasks that usually people will struggle to do.

Factually it said that surgeon that plays video games throughout the week make 37% fewer mistakes which tells me that digital technology is working for peoples benefits. I find digital technology to be very useful on a daily basis as I can use social media to get updated on news and other important things like the weather which is extremely useful. If you really think about it digital technology for a lot of people acts as an escape from the real world which sometimes can be very stressful. I  noticed that people who are not a fan of digital technology still utilize it one way or not. We are entering an era with advanced technology it is better to get used to the way of life rather than getting left behind. Geneseo M. Carter and Aurora Matzke strongly express their opinions on why digital technology is so useful by using credible statistics and various different perspectives to show the audience how life is and is going to be going forward. After all that work put in by the authors, I still wonder if people’s opinions will change toward technology as it is taking deep roots in our culture, and to this day digital technology is too big for it to stop so that’s a scary thought which for sure will keep me up at night.

 

 

This week so far has been really great for me as I have already turned in my analysis draft and received feedback on my draft. I going to take the next couple of days polishing it up to the best of my abilities. One thing that has not been going well is my studying for my psychology med term which I am slacking on due to bad time management. I have to take some time for studying if I want to get a good grade in my psychology midterm. Other than that things have been going pretty well as I am currently in the motion of almost finishing up the majority of my high-grade assignments.

Many might consider technology to be evil in a way where it can ruin our lives but those people still make use of technology to survive. With the increased number of phones in everybody’s hands, it is no surprise that technology in this day and age is more than just necessary rather it is needed for the world to function. This is talked about in the excerpt THE MORE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY, THE BETTER By Genesea M. Carter, and Aurora Matzke. Where they talk about how technology has become part of our instinct. As it states in the reading if somebody is in danger they always look for their phone so they can call the police. Throughout history, we have shown incredible progress when it comes to technology. When people’s brains can coordinate with their hands they can make amazing tools and equipment.

Although there are some who might take advantage of it and utilize it in the wrong way at the end of the day, technology is what makes out lives easier. Especially in classrooms where students come to learn but are distracted by what is on their phone. Students make use of social media to the biggest extent where they are addicted to it which is not great but social media is also used to consume news from all around the world. Genesea and Aurora really talk about how technology is utilized in school and how it affects the student’s life. As they think that technology should be regulated better but still be used as it offers many thing elements like research and creativity so the student has more freedom in their ways of thinking. As they clearly express using simple logic how technology is going to be in the student’s future which was not the case for the authors. Genesea and Aurora had to use typewriters to write papers and did not possess phones either. This shows the overall invocation of humans intelligence which will continue on to the future of this earth.

 

This week so far has been really going well as I have finally finished up the analysis paper. Which was a lot of writing and reading but I am so glad I got that out of the way so now I can focus on my future projects. What might trouble me this week is my history project as it requires a lot of writing and research. But I feel like if I put my mind into I can finish it up pretty easily. Going forward into next I have to prepare myself a lot of my midterms will be handed out so I have to study really hard for that. Other than that I am not worrying about much right now as I have a lot of free time for this weekend which is always great.

Rhetoric writing and communication are very essential in delivering a proper message and it also helps you stand out more from the crowd. As you are more sophisticated with your way of projecting yourself to the crowd. I personally use rhetoric on a daily basis because I like how it helps me show confidence as it shows my confidence in what I am saying. This is always a great trick to have up your sleeve because it helps you grab attention from the crowd and in your friend group. Using simple strategies like diction and repetition will help you tremendously while projecting your perspective in various ways that show confidence and discipline.

So using rhetoric whether communicating verbally or non verbally will always boost your attention level to the audience where they can understand you better but also make it more engaging for them to participate in your way of thinking.
