I apologize for the change in topic, any subjects that I was able to get grew increasingly challenging to meet up with. I think this pizza delivery guy ended up being way more than I expected anyway.
Baruch Free Resources
Hi Everyone, just wanted to share something I recently discovered. Baruch actually gives us free access to Kanopy.
It’s a streaming service that holds a ton of documentary films and old classic movies that are pretty hard to find elsewhere. Most notably though, it has a decent selection from the Criterion Collection which is a film company that basically buys up licenses to the most important cinema of our time so they can sell it off to film aficionados. So super great that you can see work from Charlie Chaplin, Agnes Varda, and other classics completely for free!
There’s also a gorgeous documentary I came across last week that’s a part of the Criterion Collection. I think it could be very useful in inspiring us for our short docs. It’s called The Salesman. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-utsxnUfXM It closely and intimately follows four door to door bible salesmen as they go across the country selling very expensive bibles to poor Catholic families. It’s a beautiful story of greed, rejection, and loneliness, but also a telling portrait of average American life in the 1960’s.
It’s shot in Cinema Verite style, which is a doc style that incorporates no interviewed narration. The filmmaker just allows the actions of the subjects to completely guide and tell the story, which I think is super challenging but inspiring to see done well. Enjoy!

I apologize for the late submission. It has been done for quite some time, I had just forgotten to post it. https://youtu.be/cJ_FUW7PgH8
Visual poem Erik Kantar
My visual poem is going to be a codependent poem of sound and motion for everyday life. The goal is to be able to use candid, found, moments in NYC and show inherent rhythm in it.
