Welcome!

I’m Aleksandra Woloszyn, and welcome to my blog. I’m so excited to share my thoughts, ideas, and experiences with you. But first, let me tell you a little bit about myself.

As an undergraduate accounting student at Baruch College, my passion for accounting was ignited when I volunteered at a non-profit, analyzing their finances to improve efficiency. Collaborating with the finance team, we introduced innovative budgeting approaches and optimized procedures, resulting in considerable cost reductions and an enhanced capacity to allocate resources to their essential initiatives. Receiving the Women’s Bond Club scholarship acknowledged my dedication to accounting, providing financial aid and validating my hard work. I am thankful for this opportunity and committed to excelling in my studies and contributing to my field.

Growing up in the diverse environment of Queens, NYC, I developed an appreciation for different perspectives and a curiosity about the world. This unique upbringing inspired me to pursue an accounting degree to help culturally diverse businesses thrive financially and promote economic growth in communities. I’m grateful for how these experiences and values continue to shape my life and work.

I have various hobbies outside of school, such as playing volleyball, figure skating, and painting. Volleyball teaches me teamwork, communication, and perseverance, while figure skating develops discipline, focus, and hard work. Painting allows me to express my emotions and thoughts visually. These activities enrich my life and contribute to a balanced lifestyle.

I invite you to join my blogging journey, where I’ll discuss challenges and opportunities for accounting students, emphasizing critical thinking skills and curriculum updates for better preparation. Feel free to reach out with questions or comments, and happy reading!
