Whats up, my name is Angel Moreira I am 18 and I was born in Ecuador. I am the youngest of my three siblings and I have one niece and two nephews. Something that I guess is pretty interesting about myself is that I play a lot of pool. I started playing pool in late 2017 as a way to bond more with my father. I kept playing frequently with him and later my friends and eventually got pretty good at it. I also learned a lot from watching videos of professionals playing in tournaments. I got invited to play for a league in Jackson Heights and played there for a season before quitting in order to have time for a job and make some bread. I do still play with my friends on days I do not have class or work, and I also spend a lot of time in the game room at Baruch on the third floor. I play 8-ball and 9-ball with the kids at Baruch so if anyone ever needs me I am there Mondays – Thursdays from 12-2:45. A dream of mine is to one day return to the league and get to the finals in Las Vegas. From there hopefully someday I can represent the USA in tournaments (yes, there are international pool tournaments).
Below is an image that represents me in some odd way. I chose this image because it is confusing and you do not know what to do, I am very much confusing and a lot of the time I do not know what to do, making this image a pretty good description of me.
Hey Angel. I never played a physical version of pool, but based on pool related videos and playing electronic versions on the phone or PC, it definitely seems fun. The only thing keeping me from playing is the fact that I don’t feel confident in being able to hit the cue ball well enough to do anything.
Hey Angel! The picture you used is very relatable, probably to most people our age at this point in our lives. Even though so many seem to have planned their life out already, no one is ever certain about the future. Sometimes, winging it is all we can do!
Hey Angel. It’s cool that you started playing pool to bond with your father and now you’re so passionate about it. I’ve had a pool table in my house for a few years now and I definitely think it’s a great opportunity to bond and to talk with people.
