Comicbook.com. Dragon Ball Super
Although I’ve watched many other anime series afterward, Dragon Ball still holds the one of a kind position in my heart. It was the first anime I’ve watched and it was also something that reminded me of the harmony relationship I have with my brother; it’s my childhood.
Dragon Ball is a manga (Japanese comic) written and drawn by Akira Toriyama from 1984 to 1995. It’s a martial arts story with elements of fantasy, science fiction and comedy. The hero, Goku, is a boy who is raised in the woods by a martial artist. He was later accidentally discovered by Bulma, a girl on a quest for the seven magic Dragon Balls (it can grant any wish when you unite seven dragon balls) and introduced him to civilization. Over many adventures, Goku travels around the world, develops his fighting skills with enemies and saves the world from evil martial artists.
Dragon Ball also inspired me in several ways. I remember that my favorite character was Vegeta because he was naturally born strong and he was cool. As a child, I always liked the antagonist because I considered them cool and one of a kind. However, Dragon Ball taught me several lessons like how Goku(protagonist) proved to me that he could meet his goal if he work hard enough and be persistence. He also built a positive role model for many children.
