ART 5900 Senior Seminar

Beginning in Fall 2020 the capstone course for students majoring in Business Communication with a Specialization in Graphic Communications will be a new course, ART 5900: Senior Seminar. The class meets on campus and enrollment is limited to 24 students.

About the course

This course will assist the advanced graphic communications student in the transition from school to professional life. Course content includes the development and design of a professional portfolio, study of professional practices, and a senior project focused on designing for social change. Through presentations, in-class exercises, demonstrations, guest lectures with industry specialists, and community-based work, students prepare their body of work and themselves for entry into the professional world of graphic communications.

Prerequisites

Registration is limited to Graphic Comm majors only. Students must have already completed ART 2050, 3050 & 3058, plus an additional 3000-level ART course selected from the list of approved major electives, before taking this course.
