Next Steps…

I think that being part of Baruch has been such a privilege. Not only because of the great education we are receiving, or the talented and intelligent people we get to meet here, but also because we have so many resources available to us. If we need academic help, there is the student academic consulting center and the writing center, which can help us with virtually any question we could have of the work we are assigned. Personally, the SACC has helped me in preparing for math exams. And of course, Baruch’s massive library and databases provide so much information for the many research assignments we receive.

Another useful tool Baruch students have is the Starr Career Development Center, which helps us to prepare for our future careers. They can help us explore majors, prepare for internships and jobs, and develop the skills we need to be successful in our careers. They also help us write resumes, find jobs, or anything else that we would need for our career.

Baruch also has more than 150 clubs and athletic teams which not only are a great way to meet new people but also help us develop skills that will be important in order for us to succeed in our careers such as communication, organizational, and leadership skills. These skills are also going to be very important as we participate with our group in our community service project. Throughout the semester, I have learned there are many ways to give back to our community and everyone should strive to do so. Especially since the community already gives so much to everyone.
