Day 2…

Not exactly day 2…Posting entries are not my primary concern. Forgetting to post here and there. Still getting better. Return of serve has a problem where I straighten my legs and arms. And then the ball becomes out of reach. Second serve is still somewhat sitting up. STill have to work on it. The coach […] Continue reading

Day 1…

It’s so early that I woke up before the early bird. Getting dressed for some practice and physical training. Haven’t posted in a while so here goes. Everything has improved, especially my serve. I have nothing much to say. Probably becasue it’s still early and I haven’t woken up yet. There’s not even a sign […] Continue reading

Improvement…

Today I worked on serves, volleys, serves, return of serve, and mostly backhands. Backhand is much more solid. Serves have been critiqued a little I don’t know what I did but it’s working. Second serve is……not doing so great. Volleys are lazy. Return of serve is definitely improving. So exhausted today. Woke up at 9:30am […] Continue reading

Practice…

Well just another day at the indoor courts. Still have many things to work on. Having one of those slumps again. My serve just doesn’t seem to click anymore. It’s not like I don’t know how to serve. It just seems like my the way I time everything feels different. Not exactly sure why but […] Continue reading

Another Day

Today I went to Baruch for the usual Wednesday physical training routine. There’s no doubt in my mind that I am getting stronger. It’s hard to make a workout schedule around practice days and Wed. workouts. Played indoors today. Found a cure to my backhand’s recent cold. Like all tennis players myself especially we have […] Continue reading

Recently I’ve actually played many consecutive hours of tennis. My legs were actually a little sore from playing tennis. Being sore from playing tennis usually doesn’t […] Continue reading

We as Baruch Scholars are blessed with nearly unlimited resources including faculty, peers, staff, support centers, libraries, and student clubs among others. Although some of us have not used these resources, I have used a vast majority of the resources available to me. For me and hopefully many other scholars, the library is my most […] Continue reading

Damon Ye’s Journal Entry #2

There are several ways to serve ones community. The most obvious way to do the community a service is through donations and volunteer work. I believe there is another way to benefit the community. To better a community one could also invest his or her time within occupations such as pediatricians, firemen, policemen, and many […] Continue reading

Journal Entry #1:A Pebble in Damon Ye’s Pouch

I remember my first day in high school as a freshman. I walked into the school to my first class. I looked around, I didn’t know anyone. The same thing happened in the next class and the class after that. By the end of the day I had felt lonely. None of my […] Continue reading

Damon's Pouch 2009-09-28 20:11:33

Today I didn’t do much. I went  to Leif Ericson park at 10 and practiced serving till 1. Second serve has a little more kick to it. Getting better but not there yet. Played some more tennis after eating until 6 or 7 when it started raining. Backhand goes long a lot. I’m bending from my […] Continue reading
