Hi my name is Cory. Something I really love to do is play sports, in particular basketball. Basketball has taught me a lot, outside of the sport. One thing it has taught me is how to be collaborative and cohesive at the same time as a unit. It’s important to have synergy as a team, and to put differences aside from each other. When a team has synergy, the team produces faster, more efficiently, and time goes by faster doing work, projects, and overall getting things done. I believe a lot in team and working together, while being patient. My expectations as a college student is to really do well in all my classes.

My high school was really challenging and has prepared me really well for what to expect at Baruch. I have a good sense of time management from high school and hope it carries over at Baruch. I have way more time on my hands, and it’s important I don’t get lost in doing things other than school work. I really want to be able to apply to high caliber internships and even jobs to help establish a strong resumé.

I know that college is supposed to be one of the best times of my life, but also know it’s a time where I have to establish my profession and overall goals for life. I hope my first semester I get all As. I don’t want to be stuck with a bad C holding my GPA down for the rest of my time at Baruch.
