Baruchian Pete Radovich has a lot to be proud of. He recently received accolades as director and co-producer of A Game of Honor, a documentary that premiered on Showtime in December. Said Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated, one of many impressed reviewers, “It’s not hyperbole: A Game of Honor is likely the best sports documentary of 2011.”
The film, which goes behind the scenes of the 2011 Army and Navy football seasons, has been uniformly praised for its fascinating off-field details and honest emotional tone. Even those who have zero interest in the famed sports rivalry have found the film’s stories of the individual cadets completely engrossing.
Radovich began his career in sports broadcasting while a student at Baruch, as an intern with the NBC Olympic Unit in 1995. He was subsequently hired as a production assistant in 1996.
Radovich has enjoyed much professional success, including a whopping 22 Sports Emmys. Currently he is creative director at CBS Sports and also its producer for coverage of the NFL and NCAA Championships, in addition to other high-profile events. Radovich was coordinating producer for Showtime’s Inside the NFL before taking his current position at CBS.
A Game of Honor airs again on Showtime Feb. 4 and 14.
