As part of the 125th anniversary of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Journal of Accountancy named Stuart Kessler (MBA) one of 125 people who have made a significant impact on the accounting profession since 1887. A founding partner of Goldstein Golub Kessler LLP, he is a director at JH Cohn.

Arnold Lakind, who graduated from Lehman College in June with a master’s in special education, plans to pursue another degree in speech, language and hearing in hopes of becoming a speech pathologist. He is currently considering offers to teach the disabled full time. A pilot during WWII, Lakind worked for many years in the aeronautical industry.

Stanley Glick has been appointed director of NanoViricides and the chairman of its audit committee. The company creates special-purpose nanomaterials for viral therapy.

Michael R. Silberstein, retired municipal court judge of Marlboro Township, N.J., was honored by the Monmouth County Bar Association and the N.J. Senate and General Assembly, in recognition of his public service, his 50-plus years as an attorney, and his commitment to the legal profession. Al Singer is president of Singer Nelson Charlmers and founder of nonprofit organization PACS (People Against Children Starving)-USA, which raises money to feed hungry children. In a joint event with Feed The Children held at Fairleigh Dickinson University in June, food was delivered to 1,600 needy New Jersey families.
